magnacoda™ is an accessibility scanner for WCAG, the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines, that you run from your terminal. It's built for developers and content managers who want to understand and fix accessibility problems, not just list them.
Coming soon
magnacoda isn't released yet. It will install with one command on Windows, macOS and Linux.
What it does
- Scans pages in a real browser with axe-core, so content that JavaScript builds gets tested too.
- Uses the page the way people do: it presses Tab through it, zooms in, sends its forms empty and presses keys. That reaches parts of more than 20 WCAG criteria that axe-core can't.
- Covers a desktop screen and a phone in one scan, and checks dark mode every time.
- Explains what it finds in plain language, and suggests a fix for every finding.
- Lists every criterion that still needs a person, since no tool can test all of WCAG.
- Opens a saved scan in your browser to review, and rechecks just the problems you've fixed.
- Runs as one command in CI pipelines, scripts and AI coding agents, with exit codes and JSON.
